Algeria to play against Palestine at July 5th Stadium

The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) will allocate all the means to make the success of the first match ever between Algeria and Palestine in their history.

The match is due to be held on February 17thfollowing Palestinian and Algerian popular claims to schedule a game between the Desert Fighters and the Warriors.

An official at the Federation announce the FAF’s Chairman Mohamed Raouraoua gave instructions to his assistants to make the match a real football party.

“Raouraoua asked to make all the necessary conditions available to hold this game in the best circumstances. The Palestinian delegation will get a hearty welcome. A huge media coverage will be present for this historic event,” said the same source.

The official added that the match will be held in the July 5 Stadium. “We chose this stadium on purpose as it symbolizes Algeria’s Independence Day.”

The Palestinian delegation will stay next to its Algerian counterparts at the Sidi Moussa Technical Center where they will train.

The FAF is expected to schedule many activities for the Palestinian delegation out of training sessions. Of them, visiting historical sites in Algiers.

12th International Show of Water Equipments opens in Algiers

The 12th International Show of Water Equipment, Technologies and Services “SIEE POLLUTEC 2016" opened on Monday February 1^st in Algiers with the participation of 250 firms, half of them are foreign.

The trade show has been inaugurated by Minister of Water Resources and Environment Abdelwahab Nouri, in the presence of Minister of Finance, Abderrahmane Benkhalfa and Post and ICT Minister Iman Houda Feraoun.

Producers, distributors of equipment and service providers in the sectors of water and waste water treatment, distribution of water, treatment of industrial pollution, analysis and control of water quality are exhibiting at the SIEE POLLUTEC 2016 until February 4^th.

Besides Algeria, 17 countries are present in the show, which sees the return of India, Tunisia and Denmark who were absent in previous editions.

For this year’s edition, the show has expanded to the environment in response to the needs of the domestic market, especially with the emergence of a waste water management sector.

In addition to the agencies under the Ministry such as the National Commissioner of Coastline and the National Agency of Climate Change, the show receives 30 exhibitors activating in the field of the environment.

Minister Nouri said that this show represents an opportunity to assess the level of national progress in terms of recourses and environment.

"We cannot encourage the national economy if we continue to import equipment that we can manufacture locally," he stressed.

This event is to enable national operators to discover the latest innovations in the field of water equipment production and manufacturing.
